Polish Blogger Cycle Chic

Well, well, well, look what I found! And I couldn't make it up if I tried :)
It's a collage from the cool Polish fashion blog Szafa Sztywniary. This collage features Polish bloggers - by and large fashion bloggers - who have all taken a photo involving the bicycle. If you do go to the site, it's all in Polish but the pictures are cool. It's perfect for me because I am not into reading anyway!

Cycling Socially

Laughing is allowed but not required... I want to be where they are

Love the white fattie tires... she looks like a bitch though

Love the pants, but I think they'd get stuck in the cog's

Makes me want to ride a bike in Copenhagen..

We have similar bikes... kinda wanna be her friend!

Sea Change

Sea-change or seachange is a poetic or informal term meaning a gradual transformation in which the form is retained but the substance is replaced, as with petrification. The expression is Shakespeare's, taken from the song in The Tempest, when Ariel sings:
Full fathom five thy father lies;
Of his bones are coral made;
Those are pearls that were his eyes:
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange
(I like this)

it's been awhile..

and I've been busy raising this crazy dog named Charlie. I wish the pictures I had would upload but i am having technical difficulties. Stay tuned.

what else is new... I have been diligently planning our wedding and really getting a lot of things checked off my list.

Oh yeah, I think I am going to start rowing again...

Cheers,

SJT

Minnesota

I could listen to this song twenty times in a row... makes me miss my family.

"Girl From The North Country"

If you're travelin' in the north country fair, Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline, Remember me to one who lives there. For she once was a true love of mine.

If you go when the snowflakes storm, When the rivers freeze and summer ends, Please see she has a coat so warm, To keep her from the howlin' winds.

Please see if her hair hangs long, If it rolls and flows all down her breast. Please see for me if her hair's hanging long, For that's the way I remember her best.

I'm a-wonderin' if she remembers me at all. Many times I've often prayed In the darkness of my night, In the brightness of my day.

So if you're travelin' the north country fair, Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline, Remember me to one who lives there. For she once was a true love of mine.

For the weekend!

Some of the CardBoardLove notes are a tad cheesy but there are a few in there that are kinda cute too. This one is my fav..

Happy Friday & tv watching!

Marrige

My favorite part is the catching the spiders box... god I hate those things. Actually, I killed my first one at the house today and left it hanging on the wall for Greg to pick up. That's what marriage is all about right?!!

Zombie Heels... I WANT!

Charlie, our new puppy, has been awfully cute but a pain in the royal ass when it comes to sleeping at night :- I feel like I am a walking Zombie of late. I hope he gets into this routine quick 'cause I'm not sure how I will be able to stay awake during the day...
UNLESS.. I buy a pair of these hot ass Zombie Stomping shoes! I honestly am in love with these shoes and need to find out where I can buy them!! My only concern is the 4.5 inch heel, I'm use to my vans or Ed Hardy's but am feeling a change..
UPDATE: I found them on Refinery29 my new obsession that my friend Renee told me about! Thanks :)

MOVING DAY!!

Finally, the day has arrived people!! We are moving into our new house!! WOOHOOOOOOO!

Urban

I am realy into the plaid boyfriend shirts right now at Urban Outfitters... I'm sure I can find them at some vintage shops around town, but am feeling a tad lazy and besides, I already know where I can get one :)

Sleepless nights...

I've been having the most crazy vivid dreams lately. I wake up and for a few hazy moments I wonder if it really happened. I think if someone were to watch me in my sleep it would look something like this...

PS - I have no idea how I found this song but actually like it. Bonus!

5 months to go...

I frequent this one blog (i won't mention which one) and every time I'm on it, she is salivating at the mouth about her wedding coming up late this summer. She describes how funny and cool her fiance is and how much fun they are having planning their BIG day, hahahahahahaha (makes me gag in my mouth a little) So, I decided to post a little something about our wedding coming up. Below is a picture of where our ceremony will be in Seattle. We have rented out the entire Volunteer Park Conservatory and it's going to be pretty cool because each room is very different from the next with it's own special plants and vegetation. Rain or shine, we will be all set to go! I cannot wait!!!

For Greg: When Ricky met Elmo

In the out takes for his upcoming Sesame Street appearance, Ricky Gervais and Elmo discuss why Elmo wears pajamas to bed but is naked the rest of the day, charity, and what topics are not suitable for Sesame Street (drugs, child abuse, the holocaust) and it's just about the funniest thing I have ever seen! "Are you having a laugh"

Bacon Cheese Burger Please!

I am loving this branding that Chef Burger has! I was surfing their webpage and discovered that I could save a LOT more on my burger cravings if I lived in Kansas City, MO.
Hmm... I would be interested in taking a road trip to KC just to try these burgers out! How fun would that be?!!

Some Day... [sigh]

Now that we are homeowners and are in the remodel/designing phase, I cannot help myself but surf the web for home design sites to get me inspired. I came across Viva Terra and am in LOVE with these two beds. I don't know which one I like more... I have always loved simple, natural looking pieces that don't clutter a room. I personally like to add in a few rocks to make the room feel even more earthy. Check out the site, it's worth viewing!

Spring Fever

It's cold here in Seattle, not as bad as Minnesota, but my rowers didn't even want to got out for a row. So, here is a touch of spring to help warm up. These pictures are from a flower market in Paris and are just what people need to distract theselves. Kari Herer sells the prints in her

I need one of these...

I want to come home one day and have a puppy greet me at the door!! (hint, hint)
I would totally be the one to take it for early morning & late night walks, it'd be my buddy!... Greg may have to sleep in our extra bedroom :-\

FML

Currently we are all in the need of some laughter. I found out about a website called F*** My Life that is laden with stories from people whose lives most certainly suck more than mine. Some faves:

Today, the creepy skin care guy at the mall with the heavy accent asked me if I was pregnant. When I said no he replied "Oh, too many donuts then?" FML

Today, I had a job iterview. I stopped to take a pee in the lobby before I went in. I relaxeda bit too much at the urinal and accidentally farted. I proceeded to chuckle about it like a 5-year old for a few seconds. The guy that had been next to me at the urinal was the interviewer. FML

Today, my entire family sat down in the living room to watch the video I recorded of my sister's graduation from college. I never pressed record. FML

My new obsession.

Spider Pig...

Look what I found...

Homer: Are you saying you’re never going to eat any animal again? What about bacon?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Ham?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Pork chops?
Lisa: Dad, those all come from the same animal.
Homer: Heh heh heh. Ooh, yeah, right, Lisa. A wonderful, magical animal.

Made me laugh out loud and then I played the video of "PORK...It's the meat of KINGS!"

I love Bacon: take two

"PORK... it's the meat of KINGS!"  This video is too much, but yet another reason why I love my Bacon!

Oh yeah, good luck getting it out of your head. I'll be singing it all damn day  :-|

House Update: Bathroom

I posted some pictures on March 1st of our newly demoed bathroom. I admit, I was very freaked out and not sure how I should express myself at that moment but felt I did an ok job. Anyways, Greg has been working is A$$ off getting this bathroom done before we move in on April 1st.
Today, I walked in after coaching and saw this...

and here's another photo...

I will have pictures of our new tiled floor later on.. But for the most part, this bathroom and Greg's hard labor is coming along very well! I am so proud of him for taking on such a huge project like this with no prior experience. I tip my hat to him!!
I will have many more updates as we move forward and most importantly, I will have pictures of the final product!

Sonny Boutique

I was just recently introduced to this website called Sonny Boutique. The mastermind behind the curtain is someone who I have recently become friends with through my finance's friends wife (did i loose you?) Anyways, I am in shock and amazed as to how wonderful these baby products are!  Visit her website and view them for yourself. When I'm ready to have a 'lil one, this will be my first stop to get some very fashionable, earth-friendly accessories for my babe! To top it all off, a percentage of each sale benefits the Heifer International, an organization committed to ending hunger in children and families worldwide. Knowing that makes me want to purchase a cute gorilla onesie now (too bad it's not an adult size)! See it below...

Who's ready for a cold one?

"Bard's Beer is America's first gluten-free beer and the only one that is crafted with 100% malted sorghum to achieve traditional taste and aroma."

Here's the story:

It began as a tale of woe: two self-professed beer aficionados discovered that they were allergic to wheat, one of the main ingredients in 99% of beer. After crying in something other than beer for awhile, they decided to take action: They crafted Bard's Tale Dragon's Gold, the first gluten-free beer to use 100% malted sorghum to achieve traditional beer taste and aroma. Although they quickly became one of the top four players in this niche market, Bard's soon began to see major competition (Anheuser-Busch). To survive, they had to find a way to separate themselves from these interlopers while staying true to their craft origins.

Problem/Challenge Hunt Adkins Ad Agency faced:

Hunt Adkins Ad Agency objective was to re-brand Bard's so it spoke to the gluten-free enthusiast market without alienating the craft-beer drinker‹those guys who will not compromise one iota on taste. Bard's needed to speak to the beer drinker in all of us instead of the gluten-free beer drinker in some of us.

Solution:

In order to position Bard's as the gluten-free beer of choice and get it into the consideration set of all beer drinkers they leveraged the essence of Bard's, which was this: Bard's was created out of a love for beer. Unlike some competitors, Bard's was never about exploiting some market niche. It was created to protect everyone's inalienable right to pull up a stool and drink a cold one with friends.

I wished I worked for Hunt Adkins Ad Agency to help create this. I think they did a great job! I'm on the hunt to try one and will let you know the outcome...
